Call of Duty: Ghosts features female soldiers in multiplayer

Call of Duty: Ghosts will include playable female soldiers in the multiplayer campaign, a video in Activision's multiplayer livestream event revealed. Developer Infinity Ward confirmed the addition with a tweet, "Yep, that was a female soldier #GhostsMP."

Infinity Ward's Mark Rubin mentioned the inclusion later on in the event: "And as you saw in the trailer, you can also play as a female soldier."

This is the first time female soldiers are playable, in multiplayer or in the campaign, in Call of Duty history.

I guess it's good idea to add a female to the game, but when you think about it, it's not really that necessary..

Not being stereotypical, but women don't come off as 'killing machines'. I come from a military family and hope to train for the ADF soon, Female soldiers aren't exactly rare, but there are more men in the army than women. Sure there's some great women soldiers, but I could think of plenty more men, as I said, trying not to be stereotypical. Obviously someone is gonna hate on me for saying that, so before you do, think again.
