Call of Duty: Ghosts won’t have branching missions

4.3
Call of Duty: Ghosts won’t be taking the less-linear route of Black Ops 2′s branching missions and choices, as developer Infinity Ward has plumped for the standard corridor format once more.

Speaking with OPM, Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin said, “We don’t have the same branching system [Treyarch] do, obviously. But there is basically this way that, when you are in a mission, you might find something, if you grab it, then something opens up later in a different mission, or something happens later in that mission, that wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t do them”.

He added that these mystery items will pop up “several times throughout the whole campaign”, so just like our source PCGamesN suggested, it’s probably intel – mobile phones, laptops and the like.

What do you make of the above?

VibeEditz The campaign was good on MW3 and MW2 and they didn't have annoyingly complicated campaigns. I think it'll be just fine.

It's the multiplayer that i really am NOT looking forward to. It's going to suck, and i know all the fanboys are going to hate me for saying it. It is though, it's going to be, "a whole new experience." Just like black ops 2, black ops, modern warfare 3, modern warfare 2, modern warfare, world at war, call of duty 3, call of duty 2, and call of duty.

I'm pretty sure i'm not going to trust what they say about this game until i see some legit gameplay when it comes out.

BO 2 was based around esports

have you played this one yet? how do you know its not a whole new experience? assumptions will leave you dumb.

How do you know it's not? We go through this every year. The trailer comes out, it looks awesome. Next the campaign trailer comes out, it looks awesome. Then the multiplayer trailer comes out, it looks awesome. Finally the game comes out, it plays like ****... All I'm saying is we've been through this before. They claim its going to be a whole new experience, then we buy it and its like trololol. I agree that isn't fair to judge a game before it comes out NORMALLY, but in cod's case, it's logical.
I feel the only solution is a closed beta for pre orders only. Unfortunately that would never happen because ppl wouldn't buy the game once they found out how bad it was.

i agree that others kids probaly a fanboy L000L

****** of War

Stayed up all night with that one?

I agree, this series is just being milked by Activision. When will others realize that this series is just a basic copy/paste with a few skin changes? Who knows but the sooner the better. Once that happens we can finally see the shooter genre become something different, and the standards will be higher for the new shooters.
