Updated: Xbox Live Down, Microsoft Investigating (Its Up!)

If you're having trouble signing onto Xbox Live, you are not alone. Microsoft is aware of the issue and is "actively investigating," according to the official Xbox Support Twitter account. The Xbox Live status page at the time of writing does not report any issues.

Some of the reported issues from our forum include freezing when sending invites and being unable to sign back on.

UPDATE 1: Xbox Live status has updated with the below info.

I guess that would depend what type of maintenance you mean?


sorry no i meant for just randomly going off it affects 100% of the people and it takes them like 1 month to sort it out fully


Not really that just happened one time when they got hacked. It's usually 2 days max when it's down

No need to apologise :) and to be fair, from what I've seen Sony do tend to take their sweet time sorting things out. The last time issue they had was when an update they released "bricked" some consoles, and it took around 2 weeks (I think) to release a patch. As far as I'm aware, it mostly - if not entirely - affected those consoles that whose owners had swapped the standard had drive for a bigger one.

I actually have no idea what happened with the "bricked" consoles.... I'll have a look soon methinks.
