Sony Confirms PlayStation 4 Does Not Have a Power Brick

4.6
Shuhei Yoshida, Sony President of Worldwide Studios, has confirmed via Twitter that the PlayStation 4 will not use a power brick. Instead, the power supply will be housed internally, not unlike the Xbox One.

Additional details regarding the PlayStation 4's power supply and how the company managed to fit it within the console's relatively small casing are still unknown, but at least we have a better idea of what Sony has in store for us later this year.

Ing Who cares about the power brick? It's mostly hidden anyway.

It takes up a fair bit of space though. Many consumers prefer there being no power brick.

No power brick = bigger console as they have to put the power supply inside the console then

Busselton Sony are trying there best to be better than the Xbox One, someday they will screw up because of changes like these.

i know right. they should just be like Nintendo. just let the people have fun. Microsoft have already screwed up.

Microsoft screwed up by doing the DRM and 24/7 internet thing, which they've removed. The orders of it have risen higher than the PS4 apparently.

I-DA-KING I doubt that anyone would choose from PS4 or Xbox One over if it has a powerbrick or not, Don't see why they thought they would of needed to say that?

People will think it looks better and then will think it's better in general.

Some people prefer the PS4 because of the sleek design. I myself think that it improves the console, Sony had a completely valid reason to say it.

I don't understand why this matters to a lot of people. The brick/cord is hidden 90% of the time.
