Sony Confirms PlayStation 4 Does Not Have a Power Brick

4.6
Shuhei Yoshida, Sony President of Worldwide Studios, has confirmed via Twitter that the PlayStation 4 will not use a power brick. Instead, the power supply will be housed internally, not unlike the Xbox One.

Additional details regarding the PlayStation 4's power supply and how the company managed to fit it within the console's relatively small casing are still unknown, but at least we have a better idea of what Sony has in store for us later this year.

This should be awesome. I have way too many cables to count. Especially because of my PVR, and my Turtle Beach Px21's... It's a mess.

Reeve im excited for this. that damn power brick is a hassle.

True, I hate getting my cables tangled up haha!

I hate getting my Xbox 360 AV cables tangled up .-. They knot up sometimes and I honestly don't even know how that happens seeing as I never move my Xbox around.

I just have 1 HDMI cord, that's all you need. :)

Using a HDMI cord makes things so much easier in my opinion. I used to use AV cables but they became a pain after a year or so

HDMI is the way to go haha:)

I have no clue where my HDMI cables are. I used to use them for my Xbox 360 but I moved everything around an misplaced it and haven't really bothered to look for them or go out and buy some more. It's not a big deal for me as I hardly play my Xbox 360 now.

imgur Is this going to make the console heavier?

It will likely be slightly heavier but not by a large amount.

I had some but I don't know where I placed them ._. I hardly play my Xbox 360 now so it's not really of a bother to me anymore.
