Sony's policy on Media Content "You buy it, you own it."

4.5
When Sony announced the PS4 in Febuary, people thought they were very reluctant to give any details about the product. Many thought Sony were going to be changing a lot, but they are not. They have changed a bit, but in a good way for the community. Andrew House stated that if you bought the game, you should have the freedom to do what you want with it.

They have basically stated that there are not going to be any restrictions what so ever when it comes to your games, and what you do with them.

Does this mean we're allowed to mod games without penalty? :D

Grizzle Modding? :P

All this means is that people and buy and sell their games that they buy, in no way does it mean that because you bought it you can violate the TOS. It means you can do all legal things with it.

it does mean you can mod really because it says freedom to do what you want with it if modding wasnt aloud it wouldnt say that

just be quiet, dumb kid

freedom to do what you want with the disk, not the content on it

I believe he was just joking by mentioning modding

It's pretty much like certain PC games, you can mod them if there's mod tools available, and you can burn certain digital licensed games to a disc. That all depends on what rights the publisher gives you though.

Lucky_Otter I'm not saying the Xbox is better but this website is pretty biased about it being terrible. It post's false info about it then goes onto say the PS4 does the opposite to make the PS4 looks so much better. Kind of getting tired of this. A good comparison would be how Fox New goes for the Republicans and MSNBC for the Democrats even though they say their neutral. I want facts not rumors and false tweets. Or old info. It's getting pretty ridiculous. I pretty much use this site for the forums but the News section is a nice part. It seems like it's going downhill though. Don't know who is in charge but maybe they should look into stuff before they post. I like to stay on this website instead of having to go to IGN for the gaming news.

This website is in no way biased. Xbox one has failed, deal with it. Microsoft screwed up their chances. Go on the amazon vote and Xbox one has 2k votes and ps3 has almost 30k. Xbox 360 might've been better past years, but Sony is taking the lead now.

They will likely take action if you are modding on PSN but offline they wont care or be able to find out
