E3 2013: Xbox One Launches November 2013 for $499

4.6
The Xbox One will cost $500 at retail when it launches in November, Microsoft announced at its E3 press conference today.

For comparison, the Xbox 360 launched in 2005 and cost $400 for a 20GB model, or $300 for the "Core" model.

ME0W It's a nice price compared to the launch prices of the 360. That HDD has a much higher capacity and it comes with the kinect, which usually cost extra.

But then their was no need for more then 20GB because you didn't need to download games also the kinect wasn't even around so you are paying $100 for a kinect and a bigger HDD.

Dropping $500 on a console seems pretty steep, but still i can see it being reasonable.

Vancouver_Canucks I really am still undecided on which to get, they both look good.

One is quite expensive and PS4 seems too cheap.

Look at the gameplay. Ps4 has the better specs and its cheaper. MS thinks they can get away with DRM and the fact the majority of gamers have a 360 (excluding PC) They are going to be in for a surprise

Casbah Does anyone realize its underpriced?

When the 360 was released it was $400 for the 20GB
Your getting A new console, Kinect, a 500GB harddrive.
A 250GB hardrive for 360 cost $100 so this is a $200 upgrade for free.

Trust me anyone who says they are waiting till the price drops is lying.

That's good then, people can't moan about the price now.
