Black Ops 2 Won’t Be Getting Any More New Guns Via DLC

Black Ops 2‘s first map pack, Revolution included a bonus weapon as part of its offerings – the Peacekeeper SMG – for the first time in Call of Duty history.

With no gun DLC announced as part of Uprising, Black Ops 2′s second map pack, the community have begun wondering why there won’t be a new gun introduced to the game for people who purchase Uprising.

When people started to question Treyarch, asking if there was going to be any new guns included in the Uprising map pack, the developer cleared things up once and for all. The gun DLC was a one time thing for Revolution only and there are no plans to include weapons in future Black Ops 2 DLC.

Uprising launches on Xbox 360 April 16.

Well if you can't add any weapons just get rid of the peace keeper and gives us a another gun no one even likes the peace keeper

They should release a gun pack which gives you a new gun for every weapon class, then everyone would be happy.

J-E-T-S There is only so much the game can handle and store when it comes to weapons maps etc. The peacekeeper was probably actually designed and ready at the game launch and they just released it with the DLC.


This is very true, plus "MW4" is coming out soon.

Kik Why not, adding a new gun was a great feature. At least add some new scorestreaks of something? Come on 3Arch.


You just wanna get the most out of this map pack, just throw in a new perk or grenade :L

ahahaha, i agree :P i think they should add a new gamemode but a sick one, one where you need to have a team and co-ordinate, that would be dope
