Hackers crack Ubisoft's uPlay security

4.6
A group of Russian hackers have broken through the security on Ubisoft's PC games launcher uPlay, allowing them free access to any of the games available to download.

The software hack they created is able to trick uPlay into thinking users already own a particular game, making it available to download at no cost. It is also possible to acquire direct download links to any game allowing users to play with no DRM.

The hack has allowed users to download copies of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon before it is has been officially released. Weighing in at 3051MB, the game is complete in a fully playable state, and is only available through use of the exploit.
