Fallout 4 Update Adds Frame Rate & Priority Settings on Xbox X/S, PS5

3.5
Following Fallout 4’s Next-Gen Update, Bethesda Game Studios has a new patch to address issues and offer improvements. Perhaps the most noteworthy addition is the new display settings on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 to allow for setting the Frame Rate Target and whether to prioritize visuals or performance.

Like the upcoming Starfield update, Frame Rate Target lets you choose between 30 FPS, 40 FPS (only available for 120Hz monitors) and 60 FPS (which is the default). Though you can freely choose your settings, prioritizing performance is recommended with 60 FPS. The internal resolution may also dynamically change during scenes with more action, regardless of the mode.

Other fixes include re-enabling Auto HDR on Xbox Series X/S, correcting an issue with the character name field on widescreen displays, and eliminating a bug preventing the Creation Club from appearing for Microsoft Store players on PC.
