Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Retail Disc Version Coming in April

4.3
It looks like Microsoft and Mojang are about to take their relationship with one another to a whole new level. A physical level. Today it was revealed over at PlayXBLA that a physical copy of Minecraft for the Xbox 360 will be released to stores on April 30th.

The game will contain all of the same features that the digital version includes as well as all further updates. The title will be sold for $19.99, the same price as the digital version (but taxed now) and will be available in other regions outside of the US sometime early in June.

The retail game will be exactly the same as the digital version in every way, including support for multiplayer connectivity between the retail game and the digital download.

Frog I don't think this is the best idea. I figure most people who want the game, will have already bought it and downloaded it...

its good for the people that don't have Xbox live ( but really who dose not have live :L )

Mitzz I agree, no need to bring it a disc for it. Just download and pay for the game.

People without live can't play if there's no disc

I can play all my DLC and games offline on my xbox. I don't know why but none of my friends can...

You may be able to play all your dlc offline, but you had to be online to get it. What we are saying is that with a disc, you don't need to connect to xbox live and download it to play it.

Eventually, a friend of mine who i love to play games with, refuses to buy anything that he can't hold, so this is a great thing for me :)
