EA stop the presses on Simcity!

It seems EA has asked its affiliates to "stop actively promoting the game" until further notice. It is said this is due to the rampant server outages and stemming issues that have plagued the game since its launch. The following are snippets from the email EA sent to its affiliates involved in their LinkShare program.

"We have deactivated all SimCity text links and creative and we ask you to please remove any copy promoting SimCity from your website for the time-being."

"To be clear we are continuing to payout commissions on all SimCity sales that are referred, however we are requesting that you please stop actively promoting the game."

"We will notify you as soon as the SimCity marketing campaigns have been resumed and our promotional links are once again live in the Linkshare interface. We apologize for any inconveniences that this may cause, and we thank you for your cooperation."

No it's because the game is nearly impossible to play with their crap servers.

this is EA, what do people expect? their terrible servers are known to anyone that has ever owned an EA game!

I really wanted to get SimCity, but i've heard and read so many bad things about it so Im not even sure if it would be worth it plus the servers are horrible.

It is a good game but the EA servers cant handle all the people being online. It has a stupid anti-piracy feature that requires you to be online every time you want to play the game.


EA servers cant handle anything. Its not the first time that their servers are trash.
