Microsoft to discontinue the Gold Family Pack

4.3

Microsoft has confirmed to Joystiq that they have discontinued the popular Gold family pack. What this means for current Family gold pack customers is that their family center settings management suite is still available for them... at this time.

When asked why this bundle which for just $99.99 gave the user four year long gold subscriptions they responded the following:

"We continually evaluate our business focus and work to offer services that make the most sense for our customers and Xbox."

Wiz- This has something to do with the Xbox 720 coming out. In a way they're being nice. I mean, who wants four years of Xbox live when the new Xbox is near release?

I think this is for the new xbox..

Stupid of Microsoft, I personally think that they just want more money.
People who actually use this, will be disappointed.

KingArty Who has a family that plays Xbox too? :P

I don't think people buy it for that, I think they buy it and trade it off or something similar I've heard.
