Diablo III: No Cross-Play Between PlayStation and PC

Recently, Blizzard announced that gamers who play the upcoming console version of Diablo III will not be able to team up with their PC friends.

Community manager Vaeflare shared the news on the Blizzard forums, before adding that the PlayStation versions of the game would not support a USB mouse and keyboard while the PC version won't be usable with an analog controller.

"While we think cross-platform play would be awesome, there are currently no plans to allow connectivity between PlayStation Network and Battle.net (this is pretty standard for most games that have PC and console support)."

"As a result, the characters on your Battle.net account and PlayStation account will also remain separate."

"In terms of allowing an analog controller hookup for the PC, we don’t have any plans for that kind of support right now. Similarly, since Diablo III for console was designed with a controller in mind, the PlayStation version of Diablo III will not support USB mice or keyboards."

do remember reading a report on why cross platfrom PC - Console hasn't been introduced, something about skill level of each type of player, but i find that a load of crap to belive, i will fall in love the day i can play something like battlefield or minecraft on my computer with my friends on the xbox. Hell it should already be happening!

On another note I'm surprised Xbox and PC can't play together yet.


Even though that is still unlikely, I still see that having more of a chance than PS and PC, I mean Microsoft 360 and PC have a similar system. (Windows live games)
