PlayStation 4 Specs detailed.

4.5
We are writing a lot tonight, folks! We have more information about the PlayStation 4's specs as it comes out from the livestream!

Now to get in to the stuff most of you have been waiting for - The system specifications. I'm not a tech-head myself, but I believe this may make you change your mind about buying the PS4 if you was thinking about ignoring it!

PlayStation 4 system specifications:

8-core 64-bit x86 "Jaguar" CPU developed by AMD and a Radeon GPU with the capability of terrorizing televisions with 1.84 TFLOPS of gaming goodness.

PlayStation 4 includes a Blu-ray drive that spins game discs a brisk 6X and 8X for DVDs. Additional specs in the release note the, already revealed, 8GB of unified GDDR5 RAM along with 802.11n WiFi capability, USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth 2.1 and ports for optical audio, HDMI and even legacy analog AV hook-ups. Though the console will have internal storage, Sony did not detail its size.

That's it for the specs, I am sure some of the more vital information is missing - that information will be added when we can get it!

Feet I'm surprised they released this to the public... Microsoft is just going to beat this now...

Which is bad news because...?

Great point, the best possible for our consoles.

Exactly! The more active the competition the better the systems will get.

Maybe they lied and actually have much better specs and they just wanna lol at MS because sony will have better specs? :P

I doubt they would lie to the public, lol.

CyberPunk Funny looking at all the kiddies who don't know the diffirence between gpu ram and regular ram :p

They are using graphics ram as the system ram (gddr5) if you watched the second person to speak, the one who spoke about architecture, you'd know this.

irsninja200 So these specs literally tell me nothing other then it probably has 8GB of what is probably very low end RAM.

Says its 8 gigs of gddr5, has to be at least moderately good considering it is usually reserved for gpus

Actaully, GDDR5 is graphics memory, not RAM. Even $1000 gpus dont have 8GB of GDDR5

Shit
1. I dont know how to quote,
2. Apprently I didnt even read your entire post or watch live stream. your right, sorry.
