Activision has recently announced the Call of Duty Championship. Set to take place April 5-7 in Hollywood, the tournament will put 32 teams against eachother for a chance at the $1 million prize.

Teams will be drawn from several areas, including Xbox Live, Major League Gaming and the Electronic Sports League. Those interested in competing for a spot on Xbox Live may do so by registering for Call of Duty Elite. Starting today, teams of four can then compete on Xbox Live in the February season of Black Ops 2 League Play.

VisionaryMGMT I don't think 1 million is the top prize.

They're probably splitting it between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Yes the 1st place team will get $400,000. Leaving each player with $100,000.
And actually the prize pool ends at 8th place with $25,000.

I'd say, I'd have a chance at winning this if I met the age requirements and had a team.

Maybe one day.

Wow, theyre practically paying people to sit inside and play a video game. Sounds like an awesome career. This is sad :P.

I doubt any of the leaderboard booster kids would win it without the modded controllers to help them :)
