Sony: "We'll let Microsoft announce their console first"

Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai says Sony will allow Microsoft to announce their Next-Gen console first. As we all know, the next generation of consoles will more than likely be released this year. But despite speculation regarding their existence, they still have yet to be officially announced. In a recent interview with The Times, Hirai said Sony will wait for Microsoft to announce their plans first, before unveiling the next PlayStation console. "Why go first, when your competitors can look at your specifications and come up with something better?" Hirai's statement would tie in with previous history, as the 360 was announced before Sony revealed its PS3 back in 2005. Sony has also been adamant that they want to release their next-gen console before Microsoft this time around.

okay now you're trying to start an argument
While I do think the Xbox 360 controllers are better for first-person-shooters, the PS3 controller is just as good (if not better) for just about everything else.
And while the Xbox Live metro-style aesthetic is nice to look at, its no more functional than the PS3s UI and nowhere near as simple to use (at least until you figure it out.)


Take this from someone who has had a PS3 for a lot longer than an Xbox 360
Xbox controllers are better in my opinion, the PS3's analog sticks are more loose and free which ends up making aiming harder and less reliable in terms of the analog stick returning to the center position...I also like the Xbox's Metro design way more than the PS3's setup because its more User-friendly in most cases and ends up feeling less cluttered

yeah,because big labels at the top of the screen with "home" "apps" and "settings" ect. isn't simple....

Yes because between their press release and Microsofts, they are going to go ahead and change a console that has been in dev for some time now, and screww over all the people with the devkits that have been working to make games for them

So Sony want to release theirs first but want Microsoft to announce first? This tells me two things, 1: Sony has no idea what to expect this year 2: They are willing to undercut Microsoft by copying their design then basically rush to market a half arsed console because they don't have the capital to splash out on R&D.

It's not the tech or the structure that put me off Sony, it's their attitude.

There you go untill you figure it out xbox from the straight off is the simple, and xbox pad are alot better for anyone above the age of 5 literally, the pads are to small on ps3 when i use mine it gives me major cramp in my hands which is shit considering they expect you to play it for more than an hour.Plus they said "Why go first, when your competitors can look at your specifications and come up with something better?" which is funny because there basically saying what ever xbox bring out we will just rip it off, copy half the stuff and try to make it better than xbox, which in my opinion they wont
