The Next-Generation Xbox could have an eight-core CPU, according to new leaks.

4.7
It is rumored that an ex-Ubisoft employee known as 'BD' claims to know all information about the upcoming Next-Generation console from Microsoft, including the RAM, and much more.
According to him, the Next-Gen Xbox will have an eight-core CPU, and an 8800 series GPU. Whilst rumors are still going around about the new console running on a AMD HD 8000M graphics card.
It is also rumored that Microsoft will be using Windows 8 kernel for the system, which is to be expected, as they have been pushing it out a lot. He said that it will have 8 GB memory and a 640 GB hard drive.
Sources also say that Microsoft has refined DirectX 11 for a "fixed hardware gaming platform."
Please treat this like any other rumor, as nothing is confirmed yet. However, these are times when insiders can leak out information for a variety of reasons. E3 2013 will be held on June 13, so not long to go before Microsoft finally unveils the system to the world.

this may sound dumb but here it is. i think they should put the GTX 690 in the new xbox. i mean it would future proof.

I'm fairly confident with the specs they are giving in the article, Micro$oft would be selling it at cost of manufacturing. Something Micro$oft would never do. Im saying the 6670/7670 rumour is much more realistic.

This might sound pathetic to some, but all this next-generation performance boosts and 8-core CPU's, is literally getting me so hyped for Minecraft: Xbox Edition.
If you're wondering why the Xbox version has very limited height, very limited map-size (espescially in the Nether), and just in general few features, it's because of 4J having to work with the limited RAM the Xbox has.

If Minecraft gets ported over to Xbox 720, Xbox Infinity, whatever, which I can 99% most certainly say it will considering it's #2 and #3 consistenly in the Most Played titles, then we will finally be up-to-date with PC users, and who knows, maybe Microsoft would expand the User-Content exclusively for Xbox Minecraft, and see Mods and Texture Packs be easily imported.

Just a year or so to go.

AMD HD 8000M

It should be able to run BF3 on medium/high at 1080p - if higher according to some online benchmarks.
