PS4 and Next-Generation Xbox to be announced in March?

Rumors have been published in the February edition of Game Informer that suggest that both Microsoft and Sony will be delivering "special Apple-style press conferences" right before E3.

Sources have now confirmed that both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox 720 game platforms will be revealed before E3, although no specific dates have been given at this time.

"We hear that both Sony and Microsoft are targeting special Apple-style press conferences to unveil their platforms near the Game Developers Conference in late March," reads the Game Informer report.

"E3 in June may be the industry's biggest event, but both companies want to give their systems their own limelight," the piece adds.

Analyst Colin Sebastian of Baird Equity Research has suggested that the PS4 and the Xbox 720 will be priced in the $350-$400 range.

its 30fps. only reason cod has 60fps is because it has the smallest maps in history and the engineering is simple as shyit. no map damage at all or anything. just shoot kill and respawn. and perks are just authentic mods.

@Liamh4x What B3ASTiixRAMPAG3 said. You have no clue what you are going on about most console games run @30fps apart from some older less demanding games such as COD which runs @60fps. Also what would e the point at running it at 80fps when you would gte screen tearing you may as well stick to 60fps or 30fps. Another point you made is that PC gamers can get an unlimited FPS, with the best rig on the market you may be able to run BF3 at 200-300 fps on max settings with 4XAA ETC, i know that is a wild estimate but still.



Just in case if anybody doesn't know whats FPS.

It means "frames per second"....

No it only runs at 30fps not 60. The BF3 graphics on PC may be impressive but certainly not on console, the textures are compressed down to an unbelievably amount which make them look disgusting up close. To be honest i don't find them that good compared to The Witcher 2 and other higher fidelity titles. And also of course it will need alot of processing power so that is why we need new consoles.
