A brand new game mode in the style of Rainbow Six Siege could be coming to the next Call of Duty title, which is rumoured to be Modern Warfare 2, a direct sequel to the 2019 reboot of the same name.

An announcement regarding the next Call of Duty probably won’t come until the middle of the year, but various insiders have all corroborated that Infinity Ward is hard at work on a sequel to 2019’s reboot of Modern Warfare.

Alongside the continuation of the campaign, a new multiplayer experience, and a brand new Warzone map, Modern Warfare 2 will reportedly also include an ‘Attackers vs. Defenders’ mode, similar to Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege.

According to RalphsValve, a trusted industry insider when it comes to all things Call of Duty, the Attackers vs. Defenders mode will feature a similar style map to Call of Duty 4‘s CQB test, but will of course be much larger in scale.

The objective of the new mode will depend on if players are attacking or defending, but the aim is to reach or defend objectives within a designated area on the map.
