Black Ops 2 domain back in Activision’s grasp

Activision seems committed to a yearly Call of Duty, and with 2011's Modern Warfare 3 under its belt, it's time to start looking towards the future. While nothing has officially been revealed just yet, new information has it sounding more likely that we may see a revisit to the Call of Duty: Black Ops series in the near future, which makes sense, what with the game making over a billion dollars since it released in 2010.
Fusible reports that Activision has recently registered the domain name blackops2.com, adding fuel to the speculative fire surrounding the next Call of Duty game. Well, Activision didn't actually purchase it directly, they did so through MarkMonitor, a service used by major companies to acquire domain names. A few months back the publisher picked up blackops3, blackops4, blackops5, blackops6, through MarkMonitor, but was unable to get blackops2 for some reason. It would appear that whatever was in the way has now moved aside (likely thanks to a large check with lots of 0s), as the publisher now owns the domain and can do with it whatever it wants. We're guessing that it's going to eventually put a website on there with a countdown clock that will countdown to a tease for a release date of the first trailer, which will actually only tease a longer trailer to be debuted at a later date, but that's just our guess.
There's always the chance that it is just securing the domain names just in case, but we'd be quite surprised if Activision didn't return to the Black Ops universe in the sooner than later.

Black Ops was average at best and for a game to be the most popular game out average is no where near good enough. The hit detection was useless, the maps were poor (had no flow or high concentration areas), they filled the game out with shit like custom reticles, custom title and emblems and didn't concentrate on the game play at all. Fair enough add custom things in after you have created the maps and achieved the best gameplay but it looks like they know pricks will buy it even without anything good on it. The map packs were terrible and looked as if they spent all the time creating the zombies and forgot about the MP maps. Classic money making tactic. Snipers were **** around with for months. Each COD that comes out seems to require less and less skill each time. It seems that the companies must listen to the thick dribble mugs for community feedback. COD is now ridiculous when it comes to gun classes why can't they get back to basics where a sub machine gun will beat most things at short range but have no effective range, make assault rifles the all round weapon but not excelling in any specific position. Snipers only effective at long range(**** quickscoping)and LMG should be very powerful but barely maneuverable. I think shotguns are the only gun class that is closest to being correct. The perks are too important now and that is shit and the killstreaks make everyone camp therefore slowing the game down. COD 4 was the best because it stuck to basic rules and the perks were simple and not hugely advantaging. The killstreaks were usless so no one cared about getting them. This is what the new games are missing simplicity with combination that work.

I honestly don't see why a ton of you people hate Black Ops. I thought it was great and I didn't see much of a "graphics difference". Maybe that's because I don't play in HD, I don't know. Well anyway I hope Black Ops 2 comes out because I'll surely buy it.

I think it could be a really great game if they could improve in there picture quallity, and there story modes in Black Ops were great, but multiplayer was a bit sad. But in general it was a great game to be honest about it.

This game actually had skill mixed in with it. Please make another Black Ops.

You are exactly right, I don't understand what people hate about black ops. They only say it sucks and when asked for a reason why they will say something like "Have you ever played it"

Because cod fans are so delusional that they think the only developer in the universe is infinity ward, b/c they made the first MW. Even though all the people that were actually behind the creation of that game don't even work there anymore b/c activision fired them. And like you said. They made quick scoping harder so every noob on the planet couldn't do it, which equals instant complaining.
Those are the two main reason ppl are loving MW3 - extremely easy qs'ing and IF made it. Doesnt matter how terrible the game actually is.

Your exactly right and I personally think the game is amazing, But as a CoD fanboy im b0ss and just go with the latest CoD cause CoD is amazing Blk ops graphic). Overall I liked Blk ops better then mw2 and will always be a CoD4 lover + newest CoD

black ops sucked and the knife was BS, I got killed TWICE when I was completely behind someone, It was also notoriously unreliable, every time I stabbed at someone I 'missed' Yet I'd always be stabbed when I wasn't in someones screen.

The game was too easy and the hit registry sucked.

no, black ops did take skill and I don't care what you say, I never had any problems with it, I sniped my way to 15th prestige and I definitely enjoyed it, one of the best CoDs for killfeeds

Exactly, you sniped your way to 15th which means it takes no skill. And it is the worst CoD for killcams. I know people who are absolutely in love with Black Ops and don't play another other CoD and yet they still admit that Black Ops' killcams are the worst.
