Glen Schofield hates the fact that some people got their hands on Modern Warfare 3 early, but is resistant to the idea that multiplayer stats should be reset on Tuesday even if some players are up to 3rd Prestige already.Glen Schofield of Modern Warfare 3 co-developer Sledgehammer Games admits that he isn’t happy about people getting their hands on the game ahead of the official launch date on Tuesday, but says that he doesn’t believe that resetting the multiplayer stats is really necessary – and even if he did, it’s “out of my hands”.

Speaking on Twitter, Schofield said this about people not respecting the game’s release date: “It’s not okay. Just wait until Tuesday. I hate the idea that people got it early. Pisses me off.”

But when inundated with requests for the game’s multiplayer stats to be reset on the day of launch to wipe out the lead built up by those who did play MW3 ahead of time – some of whom, one Twitter user claimed were already on 3rd Prestige – Schofield made it clear that he didn’t agree: “Aren’t u good enough 2 catch up? Its only a couple days. If you’re good take it as a challenge or private match 4 awhile.”

“I guess we should reset them weekly so it’s fair to people who can’t buy it day one. Crazy.” he concluded.
