Final Fantasy XIII-2 to ship on a single Xbox 360 DVD

4.7
The Xbox 360 DVD version of Sqare Enix’s re-engineered Final Fantasy XIII-2 will fit on a single disc, a physical media saving of two-thirds compared to the original Final Fantasy XIII, which shipped on three.

Game director Motomu Toriyama told Famitsu that use of more real time cut-scenes and less reliance on the prerendered ones that FFXIII was so fond of has helped reduce the amount of data on the disc.

The PlayStation version will ship on one Blu-ray disc.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is due out in Japan In December on PS3 and 360, with a US and European launch coming at the end of January and beginning of February 2012 respectively.

Having multiple disks wasn't a hassle for me, and I'm going to miss it. I enjoyed how awesome some of the cut scenes were. Oh well, getting it on PS3 instead of xbox.
