The resident video game snitch at Ars has revealed some new details about the reality of the PSP-GO and the Slim Modeled Playstation console, which was reported by Neowin some time ago.

According to the details that have leaked, the only way these slim Playstation 3 consoles will be available if the ones on the reatail shelfs currently sell out (do me and favour and go buy some people!). Wether or not a price cut happens is yet to be seen, but there is a chance. The plan is as soon as retailers are demanding new stock, they will be resupplied with the slim models. What is inside of them is anyones guess, but it would be interesting just to see how they did slim it down.

Other big rumour that is now true is the UMD-less Playstation Portable. The system should also use less power (no drive spinning) and be cheaper. This should be revealed at E3, one of the biggest video game convention of the year on June 2nd.
