DICE issues Battlefield 3 Warning

4.6
DICE has recently addressed the rash of gameplay footage and screenshots of Battlefield 3 that have been popping across the web. The Sweedish developer has recently issued a warning to all players of the Alpha Trial for the game, and that warning is simple. "Post footage and you're immediately banned :)".

The testers that have been invited to play Battlefield 3's alpha build were required to sign a non-disclosure agreement regarding the contents of the alpha, however this hasn't deterred players from leaking copious amounts of footage. For the most part, the footage has been flattering to the developer, as many have been impressed with the game even as it's not entered into it's finished state.

Will the warning have the intended effect on the Alpha participants? It's unclear, but how DICE will track down those responsible parties is also uncertain as well.

TrinityzZ When's the last time someone leaked Call of Duty info? Oh wait no one has before. All these stupid BF players... Now there not gonna make beta's if people like this don't quit

lol? Where you being sarcastic because Call of duty info gets leaked all the time.

The reason that all of these videos and pics are being leaked is because everyone is excited because its an awesome game. The reason MW3 videos haven't been leaked is because its gonna be a parody of MW2 so we already know what its gonna be like so why post redundant videos

im super jelly of those who get to play the game now. and I want to see footage if they expect me to pay for their game. and the more footage the better. But when you sign a legal contract you have the abide by the rules, thats like buying a car and signing that you will pay the monthly bill and what happens when you dont? the car gets taken away from you. Follow the rules p u s s i e s

I agree with DICE
if people continue like that, most developers won't even make public betas, like with invites but would rather use their own circle of testers...

I_MAKE_IT_RAIN There is over 450 videos of battlefield right now so whats the difference if we make another video.

Simple, they would rather have 450 videos than 900. Especially when you sign a legal contract to not "disclose" anything.

couldn't have said it better myself.
