Report – Microsoft to launch Xbox Music this autumn

Microsoft’s to launch something called Xbox Music this autumn, according to a BusinessInsider report. The news came out of a Microsoft partners event.

CEO Steve Ballmer said that the service – which we assume will probably replace Zune – would contain 11 million songs, and that it will have Kinect support via voice recognition.

Zune Music Marketplace was introduced last year for 360.

Zune can go jump.

Xbox Music? If it's just a Microsoft version of Zune then it too can climb the nearest building.

I'm happy with Last.fm, I don't really use it any more but then again my Xbox is for games and it's hard drive is good enough to play the songs I like.

Dont get me wrong I love 360 but its a love hate relationship.

I love it because its tactile and fun,

But hate it because its so primitive and it feels like microsoft dont allow any freedom or deviation from there software.

if your thinking about buying a 360 right now, dont.
Buy a PC or upgrade it to gaming specs.

Games are cheaper, more tactical, have more control and you can install whatever you like on it.

A console is a pc with limitations applied, I see no benefit.

I hate Zune. Just more crap for our money to go to. I just want to be able to upload songs to my xbox 360 hard drive via USB. That's it.
