New Xbox One Controller Leaks, And It Looks Amazing
While Sony Interactive Entertainment embraced the see-through controller design awhile ago, Microsoft has been slower to make its own retro-style Xbox One controllers that let players see all of the innards that make the controller work.
That started to change last year though, when Microsoft introduced a black controller that was slightly see-through. The controller was dubbed the Xbox One Phantom Black controller, and while it was received pretty well by fans, its see-through design was lacking a bit.
That said, it doesn't look like Microsoft is stopping with the see-through designs, and will soon be adding an Xbox One Phantom White controller to the collection. The controller has yet to be announced, but it has leaked, and already has fans falling in love.
In addition to a translucent design, the controller will come supporting all the bells and whistles other controllers feature, including: textured grip for added comfort, custom button mapping, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, and Bluetooth technology. And of course, the controller be compatible with Xbox One X, Xbox One S, Xbox One, and Windows 10.
The one thing that perhaps undermines this sleek new controller is the fact that the Xbox One generation is almost over. In other words, you may not get a ton of usage out of it, unless of course the next Xbox consoles feature the same controller or support Xbox One controllers. The latter seems likely, so I suppose even once next-gen arrives you will still be able to use it to an extent.

After 3+ years of an elite controller, it's time for a new one. Mine is starting to fall apart, this looks amazing but I won't get a controller unless it's an elite.
I wish they would do this design for it but I doubt it. Now I'm back to debating whether to get a new controller or just wait for a new console

I have to admit it's dope, but I want to see an Elite Controller v2 because the grips on the elite's just aren't that great :/ I've had to replace mine multiple times and even purchase new ones.. they're made for gamers, but for those who try hard like myself and play alot, it's just not that great.

Man, If you're Like me, you have a few custom controllers already. I'm not interested in this at all. Just another gimmick. They have like 3 different colors at my Walmart right now. When it takes all of like 4 hours to get a 100% custom controller you can DIY. Wish they would stop wasting time and fix the issues with the elite. I've had 2 and sold them both when they broke less in less than 30 hours of play time. I currently have 4 controllers and only one works 100%.

ImDitton Really wish they would stop wasting time with new color ways and instead confront the bigger issue at hand. Making thumbsticks that can hold up to more than 2 months of use. After buying and replacing elite controllers 3 times it really makes it quite obvious what the cheapest point of the controller is, the thumbsticks. The most important piece is the cheapest and arent rated for the intensity that xbox controllers put them through.Wont be excited about a new controller until new thumbsticks are addressed.
My shit solid Nd I've had this controller for practically a year when I bought the one x
