An unconfirmed Electronic Arts memo suggests that former Infinity Ward boss Vince Zampella intentionally held off on releasing a Modern Warfare 2 map pack to allow Electronic Arts an unchallenged release for Battlefield Bad Company 2.

Documents filed for use in the Infinity Ward/Electronic Arts lawsuit seem to reveal an Electronic Arts DICE senior marketing director confirming plans to delay a competitors product.

A couple months ago, I asked Vince to hold back their map pack until after we launched. (He owes me one) Given that they've already made a billion, he [Zampella] was cool with that, obviously [Activision CEO, Bobby] Kotick took it as being belligerent.
Those named in the memo have yet to comment over the allegations, however, Electronic Arts Public Relations Manager Jeff Brown claims the content of the email "was obviously sarcasm" rather than calling fake suggesting that Bobby Kotick suspected Vince Zampella of foul play.
