PS4 Has Sold More than Double the Number of Xbox Ones

Sony’s PlayStation 4 has sold more than double the amount of Xbox One consoles worldwide, according to recently revealed estimates.

According to market research firm SuperData, the PS4 has shifted approximately 55 million units globally, against the Xbox One’s 26 million.

While Microsoft does not publicly reveal the sales data for its Xbox family of systems, these estimated figures were independently corroborated by Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad, who recently provided the following charts on Twitter, showing the PS4 at over 50 million unit sales, and the Xbox One at just over 25 million:

Irrelevant stat really. If you add in how much all us XBL users pay for gold and that.

Dr_Arkansas Offer a console $100 Cheaper, with 5 FPS better performance and that's to be expected. Along with Xbox being stupid and requiring you to buy the kinect with it for the thing to even work. I still bought one and loved every single minute of it. Recently with all these Software updates Sony has been doing I'm wanting to go back to ole faithful where I can be assured the service is 24/7 along with 99% less error messages about some sort of failure to safely power down or something is wrong with the game. Scorpio will be my new baby.

The Xbox one is as low as $179 I'm pretty sure Sony isn't selling a console that low and the Kinect has never been a requirement to use a Xbox. So I'm not sure where you got that information. But Xbox deals are way better than sales Sony would offer.

Curious to if it'll still be like this after the Scorpio comes out.

Disc thats because they break and gotta get a new one smh

Maybe if you cleaned off the cheeto dust from your fingers and stopped spilling mountain dew on the ps4 each month you wouldn't have these problems smh.
In all seriousness, I've had my ps4 since launch and it's doing just fine and I've even upgraded the hdd to 2tb. I don't understand how some of y'all break a stationary object near a tv unless you're just extremely careless.

Skates So much people made the switch to Playstation. With Sony also having 2 new consoles on the market I don't doubt their sales are high, good for them nonetheless.

I wouldn't say it has anything to do with people switching. The PS3 sold 85 million units so most PS4 sales are probably people who already had a PS3. I know a lot of people still haven't upgraded, switched to PC, or just don't game at all anymore.

That great for Sony hopefully the new Xbox kills it ;)

Damn Sony that's how you kill the numbers. Good job at blowing Microsoft out of the water and I'm a Xbox fan.
