Pokemon Go bans are going out today with notices

Niantic is beginning to send out bans today for those who have used third party apps or software to cheat. Using third party apps goes against Niantic's terms of service.

A ban notification will be sent to you stating your account has been terminated. If you feel you were wrongly banned, they have an option for you to fill out a form and dispute it.

Reddit user "zslayer89" posted an image of the ban notification in which you can find posted below.

My level 30, 35, and 38 got banned. Super pissed about my 38 as my pokedex was complete and I have 7 3k Pokemon and 37 over 2k, but it's what I get for cheating haha

its_rainy_8 Wait so if you've ever used pokevision, you're banned? I'm confused with "third party apps"

I don't believe Pokevision uses your actual account. Last time I used it you just click a spot on the map to reveal Pokemon spawns, didn't have to login to my account or nothing.

About time they jumped on this. Makes playing legit have more meaning.
