Hi all, this is my current build:

Case: Cooler Master MasterBox MB530P ARGB
RAM: 32GB Crucial Ballistix RGB DDR4 3600MHz
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Processor
Motherboard: MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI Motherboard ATX
Memory: Crucial P2 1 TB Internal SSD
Power Supply: Corsair RM 750W
GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GAMING X TRIO
Monitors: LG 27GL850 & BenQ ZOWIE XL2546

I currently play Halo and CoD as well as stream. What would be the most logical upgrade on my set up and why?

What's your budget? Im assuming currency is GBP lol.

I'm not sure Id bother upgrading anything there to be honest. If you can spend the money for an RTX 4080 Super, then that will be a reasonable performance increase but I'd probably try to hold off another generation or 2, unless the 2080Ti really isn't cutting it for you.

5600x is a perfectly capable CPU, plus your mobo and RAM aren't exactly low end.. I definitely wouldn't want to spend a load of money on a socket upgrade. That's a lot of money for not enough of an improvement IMO. If anything, just swap in an R7 5700X3D or 5800X3D.

Could add more storage, or spend money on peripherals; audio equipment or a nice high end keyboard maybe if you haven't already spent money in those places?

I was thinking of upgrading my ryzen 5500 to a 5800x3d because Im still on a B450m motherboard. Its around $300 though and not sure if the motherboard would have much of a limiting factor with it also.

Depends which specific motherboard really, but it will almost definitely be fine.

Can you get a 5600X3D? I'm not sure if those were limited or not, but if you can grab one of those, that may be worth it. Otherwise, maybe a 5700X3D? I've already seen them as low as $250, that's a pretty killer CPU tbh.

Would it be better to just get the 5800x3d for $300 vs a 5700x3d for $250?

Meh. Six or half a dozen really. 5700X3D is a 5800X3D with slightly lower clock speeds. If you're happy spending the extra for the 58x3d, go for it, you'll squeeze a little more power out of it. If you'd rather save the 50 bucks or spend that on something else, then the 57x3d is absolutely fine.

The 57x3d performs around 5% slower on average, but is around 10% better value frame for frame.. so up to you whether you'd prefer slightly better value or slightly better overall performance, either of them will be a great CPU though.
