I get my vacation days at the end of this year. I will get a full week but only want to plan a 4 maybe 5 day vacation.

2 things I really enjoy are baseball and dirt track sprint car racing.

Some places I have thought about: a short cruise, the beach (obviously), the Knoxville Nationals in Knoxville, Iowa, a cardinals baseball series at an Away stadium somewhere (only ever been to Busch stadium).

Not really sure what do to or where to go. Any of you guys have suggestions or ideas? Open to new try things too.

Would prefer suggestions be relative to USA due to cost. Would love to go out of the country as I've never been but think that type of a trip may be a couple years down the road. If I'm wrong and there's an option cheaper than I'm aware of, I'm all ears.

Would love to hear the best vacation spots.

In the USA, I believe the decision on destinations often boils down to places you've never been.

Head to the Carolinas. In my opinion, North Carolina is the prettier of the two. Specifically, Asheville, North Carolina, stands out, it has to many different outdoor activities and great hiking trails.

The idea of a cruise is great as well, especially those Monday - Friday ones where you end up 9 days off. Enough time to pack two days before and enough time to recoup the two days after.

The optimal approach to securing a good cruise rate involves either planning nearly as soon as the trip becomes available or waiting until the very last minute and hoping there's still a spot available for you.

dirt track sprint car racing is so much fun they are always at my local tracks. I used to work on a dirt racercar for awhile

Orlando Florida for inside the US

But outside, I would for sure go to Cozumel Mexico or Cabo San Lucas Mexico..
