We're trying to rebuild a squad which was world class not long ago, City Brought in Sheikh money and completely replaced their mid-table squad to a world class squad. I'm glad there's the FFP now as football was turning into a billionaires way to show off their wealth.

We have so much more money to spend, especially since we have the 70m+ per year form a single sponsor

Man UTD fans used to say "Money" was runing fooball because of city / chelsea or whatever , But now they spend money its fine because its "Earned" money - Money is money.

Very true, just guess that FFP only applies to other teams just not united then, I mean 200m/ish in a year and can still go and spend that same amount over and over, unlike other teams who have billionaire owners pumping money in.

We dont have these sanctions because the money we spend is earned

But as i said as united or arsenal fan your likely to have moaned about "Money ruining football" , Money is money whethor you earned it or not - The owners of the club earnt that money , So he should be able to what he likes with it no? , If a rich guy went into a small business and injected cash into it to turn it into a global brand how many complain?

As you said because UTDs history they have got ways of gaining a huge advantage over other competitors - So if a recent football club wants to be succesfull they need a injection of cash and then some good structure - Look at CFC we had a injection of cash but we have manged that cash well - We have over 30 youngstars on loan + more in our squad - we have sold players to build up our team and we have never even got close to breaking FFP

I've never moaned about it... I'm United by the way

And I don't disagree with you at all, you're missing my point, I'm just saying the reason that we can spend so much without any FFP is that we have earned our money. If another club wanted to do it, you'd have to look at the most successful clubs in the worlds (Barca, Bayern and Madrid). We're the biggest club in the world, and we can spend the most. It came out that incidentally, the only clubs that could sign Messi without selling players would be Madrid and United, that's our power

I can guarantee you CFC (And maybe City) could do it aswell. You said you hate it when people compare you and city - Because they spent and you spent (But yours is earnt so its "Ok" apperently) but money is money - If you spend 150M and city do , You cant say "Its ok for us because we earned it" - Its the exact same thing - They also have a balanced team - Where as after spending so much money you havent.

Also you talked about "We're trying to rebuild a squad which was world class not long ago, City Brought in Sheikh money and completely replaced their mid-table squad to a world class squad." ,

Can i ask what position you were in when you started spending ridicules money?

It would help if you read who you're quoting. You're mistaking me for 360Motion... The last time we spent millions upon millions I was a baby so my stance was thinking about food

And you couldn't, you have FFP restrictions. Jose has been moaning about city signing Bony cause he reckons they're getting around FFP and having too much money. Don't know how he has room to talk

You must be new to Jose mourinho quotes? , Its not as if he is going to say "Yeah we can sign Messi" and the FFP / City thing is just what he does , Thats jose mourinho for you.We could 100% afford Messi.

I hope that last line wasn't a dig at Mourinho. We've sold Mata and De Bruyne to raise money for signings and let Cole/Lampard/Torres off the wage budget to even out finances. I'd agree that Mourinho used to be very rash with finances but since returning to a FFP strict England, he's been more diligent with transfers than the other big clubs.

Also, I don't know if 'earned' is the right word. I see the argument you're trying to make but surely your ability to comply with FFP relies on the ludicrous sponsership deals you have, rather than money truly 'earned'. I know it still clasifies as money in but it's leaching on the United brand rather than smart transfer decisions.

Also the debt UTD have / did have (350M+) is not factored into FFP - I think all the signings Jose has made this second time has been pretty much paid off by outgoings (You forgot Lukuku who went for 28M was it?)
