Gwas wrote You've said all of this but I bet you haven't tried league yet. It's literally everything bad about CS:GO x10.

From my experience though CS isn't really that bad, although when you get near GE everyone just flames you after such a simple mistake and ESEA is just terrible when it comes to the players (and their mentality)

ESEA from my experience is good, some people are a little hot headed but overall you learn on there. Don't play the shitshow of MM anymore, mutch more enjoyable to play third party clients. Although I wouldn't touch ESEA till you are at least Supreme on MM or at that level. Anything lower and you would most likely get flamed.

I've heard ESEA is just a toxic cesspool as people will flame you for whatever reason. I haven't played ESEA as I have a bullshit VAC from MW2 and have only heard about the "toxicity" regarding ESEA from friends, however I have played FaceIt and that seems a lot more relaxed with teams who don't scream in your ear. MM I just don't even bother anymore. I'm either up against trolls, throwers and during the Steam sales, the 11/10 hackers lol. I'm MG1 and I'm not going to be ranking up anytime soon, hell I haven't touched CSGO in a few weeks due to regular MM and the fact most of my FaceIt teammates are off on other games, as well as the fact that I have been on other games too.

Overall my experience on ESEA has been good. It's a much more competitive environment than MM which can be good and bad. People can be really toxic because they want to win. Plus your stats are out there for everyone to see which people flame you on if they have stats that are better than yours.

I also improved a lot from playing on ESEA. I would suggest it if you have the extra money to spend on it.

The CSGO community is toxic on here.

As you said, the majority of posts are people either pretending to be smurfs and asking for boosts, straight up asking for boosts or people trying to advertise their YouTube channels.

The problem with CSGO is that it's heavily dependant on your location, in terms of lag and there's completely different skill levels ranging from silver, all the way to Global Elite.

Yeah, the problem I would have with playing ESEA, would be the fact that I want my Valve MM rank to increase, which I understand if you play ESEA you're skill might incase faster, then improving MM, however I'd just see it as a waste of time.

Also, I understand it's about location, however, it's not just this forum that is slowly dying out, not sure statistically, but the impression I'm getting from 3 years of a member and many as a lurker, the site has got less active, which is why I brought up the fact that if a lot of members came together to help promote and not just gain from the site, we could help all the forums. Like I said, I doubt it will ever happen, just a rant really.

These days most people use Reddit for CSGO, I don't think there are too many other successful active forums for CSGO anymore. Reddit seems to have taken over.

Youtube videos are okay, but I agree that you do get many videos like "Look at this kill" rather than full montages or even other useful videos to help players. I've been making a video to help players learn how to use the AWP and would consider posting that here, but random clips of 1 or 2 kills to me seems to be of little value. Only on some occasions have I seen a shot or play that was so spectacular it deserved to be posted on a forum for CSGO.

I think we can revive this CSGO forum but we need more people to post quality content, perhaps tips or tutorials, whether they are videos or lengthy posts.

I am Nova 4 but have been MG2 before and would be willing to team up with some people from here if anyone wants to. I'm in London so it would have to be EU servers.

I'll post a short video to help players out here for the AWP soon, and if it gets a decent response from here I'll post more in the future and help to revive this forum if others are willing to try to make it better together.

I am from Northern Ireland so I would be on EU servers too. Message me!

Also, I would possibly start creating videos if I could think of some good ideas, not going to cause me any harm doing them like, anything to revive this forum.
