So, for the past year I've had my permit. Since I've gotten it, my whole family has, point blank, REFUSED to let me practice in any of their cars as they never trusted me. Now, with less then 48Hrs until my Driving test, my sister let me try. Because I've been unable to drive for a whole year, I'm rusty. And they get all cheesed off that I'm a bad driver and yell at me because they 'explained' how I should've done it before hand.

Like, I understand you told me. But I'm not going to be an expert driver after just 20 minutes

Damn that sucks, I got my license in February and had loads of practice from my family! Except I had to have 40 hours of day driving, and 10 of night driving just to take my road test! Are you under the same restrictions? Or is it different where you live?

Different. At 17 under, you need 20 Hours of total driving practice. At 18, you're welcome to just walk into the DMV and request the test(Though you have hours of waiting.) I called ahead though..Scheduled it last week.

You need to tell your parents that you need to drive so that you can learn or else you'll never get to drive until you're older and you'll fail your exam.

Wow that is nothing. In Australia you need 100 hours of day driving and 20 hours of night driving.

That is crazy! 20 hours of driving and you're set to go for your full license? That's absurd. In Australia like fknvlink said it's 100h day and 20h night and other places in Aus it's just 100h total. No wonder there are less crashes here, the drivers are more experienced.

Believe it or not, it's not that hard to pass a drivers test.

You just need to stay calm and act confident.

Make sure to keep your hands 10 - 2

If you fail, tell the officer ( usually it's an officer that rides w/ you ) that your family wont let you try driving, he/she may tell them that you won't be able to pass w/o having 40 hours of driving before hand.

In Columbia, Missouri you require 40 hours before the drivers test.

Best of luck!

* just realize you only need 20 hours if you're 17 where you live -- just keep failing until your family is sick of it lmao
