You're scum, but you're right, maybe they should do it to you instead. I don't understand how medical advances are a waste of money in any way.

-2012 wrote Back in the day they use to do experiments like this on dogs they kept a dog alive with no body just a head they might of Evan done this to humans. Sounds simple XD

Source? Proof? They kept a dog's head alive with nothing else? Why do I find that extremely hard to believe? What did they "Evan" keep it alive with then?
you haven't done your research mate and its just weird think about it. It's wrong in every way the government did do experiments on dogs as well as humans and monkeys ect.... But your too (asleep) to realise just like most people. But all you really care about is posts on a website that don't mean sh@t buddy

I found that in 1912 Corneille Heymans managed to keep a severed dogs head alive for a few hours while it was connected to another dog.
The severed head was still connected to its own body by nerves though, so not completely severed.
The only problem with your Government conspiracy is that Corneille was Belgian.

However, Robert J. White in 1963 did manage to perform a head transplant with 2 monkeys.
This wasn't the Government doing the experiments though, this was his job.

Also, I've never hated two words as much as 'It's wrong.'
Why is it wrong? If it works and saves lives how could it be wrong?

Does it just feel wrong with your delicate sensibilities?
Get Frankenstein out of your head aand start thinking about the benefits it will have to this man's life if it works.
playing god is wrong and it shouldn't be done its not good for humanity but that's just my (opinion) I think they will fail and he will die my predictions anyway he will still be a freak at the end of it

Why is playing God wrong? Maybe if God did the right thing and saved people's lives, or better yet, didn't give them terminal illnesses in the first place, we wouldn't have to play God.

Personally I think 'playing God' is an insult to these surgeons, what they're doing is far more benevolent than anything God has done for humanity.

@-2012

How in any way is this wrong or playing god?
It gives this boy a chance to actually live his live and not be a "spaz" which isn't "Evan" a word. You should really think about what you're saying because how would you feel if you had a son or a daughter and this is what they went through would you take any chances for them to live a normal life?

don't know if it says this in the article because I haven't red ne be I saw this story about a month ago but in something like 1950-1970 or something like that the successfully complete a head transplant on 2 monkeys but it only stay alive for 7 days because the spinal cords werent connected properly.....this shows that it can be done and I actually believe that they will be successful in this........the person who is going to be having the transplant volunteered just on the off chance that it is successful. I just find it insane how a human can find out a way to transfer someones head onto another body whilst im sat here with qualifications that im never going to use haha

I haven't read much on it, but you can just tell there's going to be something in the future "Murderer gets head transplant to evade prosecution" or something on those lines

Not technically the World's first, there have been many head transplants. However, this is the first human head transplant.

This is really creepy and really cool at the same time. It's like science has brought horror movies to life, but for the better? Confused and impressed.
