It could be during your REM cycle (rapid eye movement) it wakes me up allot, it's where you start to have your most vivid dreams.

It's weird because I'm currently staying at my grandparents house and my great grandmother lived in the room im staying in now, and whenever i sleep in this room I wake up randomly at around 3-4am every morning. And about the Ghost thing, I believe in ghosts/evil spirits. I'm from New Orleans and my dad whenever he first moved there lived in this haunted house, and they heard banging noises, and one day he was walking to the kitchen and thee Indian girls with a neon green glow were trying to hand him some kind of box so he ran away lol. But I thought I would give my input to this Topic

I don't really believe this to be honest. I am not a huge believer in spirits and all of that paranormal stuff.

If I ever wake up at like 3am in the morning, I never really feel as if somebody was staring at me either.

I do believe that ghosts/spirits exist but I don't think they become more/less active at one certain time. I would think that they would be more active at night though when there are less people awake.

That picture really creeped me out. Like no joke, I woke up this morning around 4. But I don't think it's spirits staring at me. lol

It's been awhile since I've woken up randomly in the night. What bothers me a lot is that when I was younger I used to wake up a lot specifically around 3:11 AM. Always as if my mind was tuned in to wake up that time like an alarm. Never knew why But i don't think it was "entities", But nevertheless i'm optimistic, I'll keep that in mind that next time i wake up, Thanks *sarcasm*

Where is the research? Data? Who did this research?.... reason is because I'm atheist, and find this hard to believe. The pic freaks me out lol, but still don't believe this is real. Like if you would listen to yourself .... "You wake up at 3 A.M most likely because someone is staring at you"... really guy? So you're saying that, something that doesn't exist and has no scientific evidence and proof is watching me when I sleep? And for what reason exactly? Just to watch me? LOL. Not trying to sound rude but it's about as dumb as anything that comes out of movies (which is why people believe non sense anyways). I wake up at 3 A.M only when I go to sleep to damn early, if I go to sleep at 12 or 1, I'll wake up at around 8 A.M. You should try having a hard day at work and coming home and working out for another 2 hours and lets see if your going to be waking up at 3 A.M... You're going to be knocked the f out, and the last thing that'll be on your mind is "Casper" staring at you while you sleep for what reason? Who knows... I'll ask him when I see him.

I usually only wake up in the middle of the night because my chihuahua needs help getting up onto my bed.

If someone is staring at me in the middle of the night, well I'm flattered.

I hope whatever or whoever is staring at us when we sleep, is enjoying the show.

I believe that it's all just in your head. Psychologically you feel like someones staring at you but what's the most valid reason? Personally i'm not a huge believer in paranormal activity that's why i'm saying this but i believe that modern technology also influences this. Movies, t.v shows video games etc influence this type of behavior that's why more and more people are experiencing this phenomena.
