Numerology. What is YOUR number?


Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is true power. If you realize that you have enough, you are truly rich.


NOTE: Can people stop posting 'nice post' and actually try it out?
So what is this 'numerology' you speak of?

Numerology is any of many systems, traditions or beliefs in a mystical or esoteric relationship between numbers and physical objects or living things according to Wikipedia.
We however will only be concentrating on one alphabetical to numerical system.

Using numerology we can convert our names into numerical form and cancel it down, with a method I will describe and explain thoroughly, until we are left with just one number. You can then compare this number with a list of definitions and see if you think the definition fits your personality accordingly. You might even be pleasantly suprised at how accurate this can be, I know I was.

1. Converting your name from alphabetical characters to numerical characters.


In order to turn the letters in our names into numbers we need a point of reference. In this system it is simple. open up the spoiler to look at the letter to number convertor. You must use your FULL birth name as it is on the birth certificate.

A=1 B=2 C=3 D=4 E=5 F=6 G=7 H=8 I=9 J=1 K=2 L=3 M=4 N=5 O=6 P=7 Q=8 R=9 S=1 T=2 U=3 V=4 W=5 X=6 Y=7 Z=8

If you're wondering how it got to this then think of it like this. J=10, however we can only have 1 digit, so we do 1+0=1, OR another example would be Z=26. 2+6=8. Basically its straight up A=1 through to Z=26 but then cancelled down. Just use the above map as a point of reference when you have come to terms with this.


Okay, so i will use Michael Jackson as a example in converting your name.
M I C H A E L J A C K S O N
M=4 I=9 C=3 H=8 A=1 E=5 L=3 J=1 A=1 C=3 K=2 S=1 O=6 N=5
4 9 3 8 1 5 3 1 1 3 2 1 6 5

We will then have to cancel this down...

2. Cancelling the newly accquired numbers down.


So here i will be continuing to use Michael Jackson as an example. (His definition won't be accurate as it is not his full birth name[I don't think]) We will continue to use the cancellation rule from the alphabet to number system.

SO:
4 9 3 8 1 5 3 1 1 3 2 1 6 5

4+9 = 13. 1+3 = 4. Therefore on the next line between 4 and 9 we will put 4. We then do 9+3 and carry on in order untill the end of the line, which here would be 6+5

4 9 3 8 1 5 3 1 1 3 2 1 6 5
4 3 2 9 6 8 4 2 4 5 3 7 2

We then keep on cancelling down like this untill we reach just one number, this number is your personality number. You can then compare this to a list of definitions below. I guess i'll finish the above off one time when i get bored.
