Woobie wrote Although I haven't been enjoying this game as much recently it is an all time favorite of mine. You can say that it owes it's success to any other similar title but what game is not in some way inspired by another.
Even the most original concepts.. if you watch developer interviews they will geek up and tell you their favorite game and how their idea came from that in a sense.
I think this game has changed the gaming industry for the better.
I completely agree I haven't played a shooter like it for years and I honestly don't think it will die down any time soon

The game is fun imo. A good mix of competitive and casual for everyone. Especially fun to play with friends, the building is a great aspect that just adds another dimension to aim and click. Ninja is still insanely popular and the top streamer from what I see on twitch. The skins are fun, the game is fun, no complaints here. Obviously it'll fade at some point, but I think they're doing their best to be creative and give the game some kind of story. All in all fort is a great game and if someone doesn't like it just hop on another game.

You know, as much as everyone else, that games (other than the CoD series) change through time. They couldn't leave double pumps because they were DEFINITELY way too OP and I was a double pump enthusiast and I didn't even get mad when I got destroyed by a better player than me.
I can agree that this spray meta is completely obnoxious and annoying but if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I've noticed I complain A LOT about people continously spraying down my builds because:
A) They can't out-build me.
B) They're just noobs who picked up an LMG or SMG for the first time ever.
The Compact SMG was definitely OP when it came out, builds would be torn to shreds once the Compact SMG would begin firing. And yes, they clearly don't know how to balance out their weapons because, using the same example, the Compact SMG now feels so goddamn weak when compared to when it came out. The clip size definitely affected the strength and usage of the Compact SMG.
Now, about the emotes:
Dude, most of the emotes come from Internet memes or dances that have been wide-spread across the Internet. The Internet itself takes the time to identify where these dances are from and the credit is given where "credit is due". They're not going to say, "Thanks to Orange Shirt Kid for this amazing dance!" in the emote description.
Recent skins they've released have been everywhere between "Wow, this skin is amazing" to "Wow, this skin is **** garbage". You could say that "Season 1" (which wasn't a season) and Season 2 skins were the best but that's just the nostalgia talking. If the game is still alive in a year or two, the trash skins we're getting right now will be the OG skins of the future.
Ninja's viewer count is down but then you've got Tfue, who recently got his Twitch account back, getting more views than Ninja himself because of the Tfue comeback. When Ninja is online, there's usually about 200k viewers watching the Fortnite game itself (Ninja, other streamers).
Games can't stay the same or they become stale and boring, much like the CoD series; who is now adapting the concept of Battle Royale to its game because they've got a dying game that everyone buys because "I've always been a loyal CoD fan".
Fortnite will be alive for a while. It's been a year since the game came out and the actual "Fortnite boom" was when? After the Christmas season? And they've still got a lot of people playing the game and watching streamers on Twitch, Youtube, Mixer.

Chat wroteLGW wrote This seems like a hate thread for Fortnite entirely. It is a good game, it's probably the best game out this year SO FAR.
Yeah the meta's change, yeah things get unbalanced. Different playstyles out do others. RNG is a major factor.
Things have changed - some for better and some for worse and because Epic haven't made it specific to you or anyone else saying they 'hate' the game, everyone jumps on board the same train. I still find the game incredibly fun to play, but I also find it incredibly infuriating to play.
It's 2018 now and this is this era's gaming. We don't have all the games we used to, the new influx of gamers aren't taking to what we all loved once upon a time, which is a shame really. We're all growing up and this is the wave we're riding these days.
PubG and Fornite are uncomparable due to completely different ways of playing. Each to their own opinion but if you 'hate' Fortnite, then don't play it. Simples.
a hate post? No
I've played this game from day 1, I've watched it fall and turn into a bad game, do I think it's horrible no, do I think it's a bad game No, but do I think it's dying Yes.
Do I think they can improve, YES ALOT
They should listen to their community more, work on bugs, stop pushing so many updates without fixing bugs.
instead of being so hungry for money pay testers to actually test their game, ANYTHING they have ADDED has been broked or a really bad bug related to it...
I loved Fortnite, thought it was amazing, BUT THEY RUINED IT.
You've played since day 1, congrats.
Yes, of course they can improve, I'm not going to disagree with you and all I was saying is that the way you're post came across was a little hateful towards the game.
Also in regards to the bugs, with the amount of money they earn etc, these should be nipped in the bud straight away but you know what these companies are like - they want fresh new content to keep their player base attached to the game. More in depth gamers such as me or you pay attention to these bugs and would like them addressed but at the end of the day, we don't really matter.
The bugs get fixed - maybe weeks later but they do. They've started getting a bit better at listening to feedback and taking things on board.
I wouldn't say the game is ruined, not by a long shot.

I do agree with everything you've said, I put a lot of money into this game I profited from that, I loved Fortnite at first I Just hate where it's come down to this.
Emotes: whilst you're not wrong they litreally cannot credit people for it, but it should be stated somewhere, peopel who have made these dances have complained about it, I understand why.. Yes I get memes and what not, and the Orange Shirt Kid entered a event thingy to have his into the game, but actual dances some people aren't happy about it.
Personally I don't care for the Meta you grow attached to it although it still isn't a balanced game.
Fortnite or any " battle Royale Game " Everyone should have the same advantage, which isn't a thing due to " Bloom "
I feel they priortize bad players over the smaller guys, I like the idea of Ranked or Sklil base matchmaking, make it seprate than normal.
I mean I don't disagree with anything you've said because you're 100% right, but the games viewer base and everything else like that is dropping.. whilst Ninja or Tfue isn't live, Fortnite is still top 10 viewed games on twitch, but it's not where as it was now, we don't really know the player count so we don't know if the game is dying or not.
Everything I listed is mostly what pushed me to dislike this game I still play it from time to time, it's not a horrible game but there's a lot of work to be done.
Yes, there is bugs and I understand they have teams dedicated to new content, they make millions of dollars probably each day.
But they can't pay someone to fix bugs, whilst others work on content or test things before adding them to the game.
For example the Grapple Gun, there's a glitch which 100% locks your game, not allowing you to build, edit, shoot, unless you leave that lobby which I've ran into a few times whislt in fights and it ruins the gameplay.
I will admit from the launch of this Meta / Season they've improved on it a lot, bugs are still a problem most being game breaking.
Bloom will always be a problem, I'm not a fan of it I don't see how anyone could be.
Anyway, I do agree with what you said we all view the game differently, some have different problems I listed mine I know some agree with me I know how the game has changed, IMO it was a lot better in the past, even with Double Pump Meta, or less bloom.
Personally I feel they're more of a PvE Making game, they aren't that good at balancing weapons, items or even looking for issues with them.
They do not really listen to their fans on anything, they have dedicated posts online < last time I checked, it's gamers helping gamers, there's never anyone actually responding >
How I'd improve Fortnite honestly one thing is removing Bloom, I can work with everything else. Either add recoil paterns or remove damn bloom lmao
Also this is current viewer count on twitch, as Ninja and TFue Isn't online, there also isn't any huge events happening right now either:

I recently just got into Fortnite. I tried to not jump on the bandwagon of people playing it 24/7 but I joined in late Season 5. I definitely have problems with the game especially when people think it is the best game ever and that it is the origin of Battle Royale. I don't think Fortnite is going to keep its popularity for over a year from today. If it is, I'll be amazed.

Me personally, I've never gotten on well with Fortnite or any BR game. It just seems to have been blown up out of nowhere. Merchandise everywhere, mobile companies selling extra skins for buying there phones etc. Never really gotten into it.

It's honestly the only game makes me want to keep coming back. The only other game that was this fun to me was halo 3 and mw2. This game is a classic

Don't get me wrong I'm a diehard pubg player across pc, Xbox and mobile but sometimes I'll give fortnite a try because of friends but it just isn't appealing to me. The graphical style choice was a bad one in my opinion. I'm bashing blackout this weekend and it doesn't have that feeling of pubg FPP. I don't know what's going to live or die out, time will tell but if I want to play battle Royale I'll play pubg.

The game is going to die out. I love how Ninja doesn't think it will but it's going to. As you stated, they are running out of ideas.
