HyperX Cloud II has been the go-to recommended for a 'budget' headset and still packs very decent quality behind it. Obviously headphones and a mic will offer both better quality but given that you need it for PC and Xbox, this works for you. These headsets work on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. You can look at some of the reviews on them but people on Reddit almost always have positive things to say about them

I've got the HyperX Cloud IIs and they are super comfortable to wear even for an extended period of time.
