My loan is up on my 2006 Acura TL. I want something sporty, hatch, manual and fuel efficient. Hard to find GTIs in the area. Right now I'm looking at a 2012 4-door GTI manual. Forgot the rules about linking websites so ill skip that. Does anybody own a GTI that can push me more on the edge to go get it?

My friend went from a MK1 Ford Focus diesel to a VW Golf GTI, which is a huge leap if you think about it. He was enticed into buying a Golf GTI because his friend took him a drive in it and he loved the sudden surge of power you received when you put your foot down. It was because of that, and the fact that his Ford Focus was becoming outdated, that he decided to make the purchase.

Depends are you talking golf gti or polo gti?

Ive got a 2016 polo gti standard its 189bhp and around 240nm of torque.
But there are people running figures of 450+
But dont get the 1.4tsi polo gti as they eat oil
1.8 is much more refined and reliable

I have a 2007 GTI. Absolutely love it. Went from having several Audi's to one VW. Its perfect, fun car and a lot cheaper to maintain than an audi.

Just watch out... I hear that every VW owner has nightmares about their Engine Management light coming on...

"is it a VW if the engine light isn't on?"

Engine light turns on for the dumbest reason for these cars. Mine is only on because of my downpipe and testpipe thats bout it
