How long is "soon" for you build.

Intel's prices don't drop as much or at all with age tbh. I sold my 4790K for more than I bought it for.

no ssd? $155/gbp ram? This is definitely not value for money.

I would just wait for the x299 to fully release. If your budget is in the $1000/gbp range.

We don't know anything about what you are building or the use cases, so we can't recommend any changes and or hardware alone

ssd was a plan for the future as its not a vital component
building a gaming pc mainly for csgo but i need it maxed out on ultra, i also play h1z1 ,gta 5, wildlands,
budget £900
only need the pc got everything else (144hz monitor)(good mouse, headset and keyboard)
not bothered about colour schemes

He wasn't trying to insinuate that your monitor was bad if that's how it came off. More so need to know what resolution you're playing on; it was more important since you mentioned 144Hz that way a build or any upgrades can be created around your budget to fit at what resolution you're playing at. If he just had to guess you're on a 144Hz monitor, that could have been 1080p or 1440p. Both of which will require a different type of GPU to hit 144Hz constantly unless you were told to just throw in a 1070/1080/1080 TI to run both resolutions just in case(1070 wouldn't be hitting 1440 144Hz on all games,) which the 1080 and the 1080 TI would have sucked most of your budget out for any upgrades you were/are planning.
