Well, after being with the perfect girl for almost 3 years, I finally decided it was time to "ask" the big question, if she would marry me. She said yes.

I guess it's story time then.

She moved 500 miles away about 6 months ago. There wasn't anything I could do at the time, but I've finally got the money to move out of my parents, get a place and afford to move her back here. She came to town to visit some of her family for Easter, and we went out for dinner with a bunch of friends that I work with, and she used to. I had told most of the girls that went along that I was planning on doing it that night, and that they were supposed to make sure I didn't back out of it, because I was so nervous. We had all finished eating, payed the bills, etc... everyone was starting to stand up and walk out, I dropped my wallet purposely so that I would have a reason to stop and get behind her. When I bent over to get it, I stayed down and got the ring out and called her name. She turned around, along with all of our friends and immediately started crying and just said yes. I technically haven't even asked her yet, so that's pretty funny, I didn't have the chance before she blurted out yes. It's not how I initially planned to ask, but it worked out.

That was two days ago, on Thursday night. After talking a lot about everything, we've decided that we will probably stay engaged for at least a year, possibly two. I just wanted it to be official, and I knew she would say yes. Instead of rushing into the wedding just to get it done, we both want to do it right. But, to do it right it's going to take time. We both decided that we're moving in together this summer, and that it will be here, where I live and where she's from. Then the money saving and preparation will start sometime after.

Just wanted to share some exciting news, and what is definitely my biggest life achievement. If we decide on when we're doing this, I'll update, but I don't see a definite decision happening for awhile. If I'm still active whenever we do have the wedding, I'll post some pictures too.
