I have a SSD for my boot drive and a hard drive for all of my storage, how do i make it so all my applications and program files go to my (D and not my (C drive?

you just have to change it when installing.
for programs like steam go to settings and change primary storage.
once a program of that type is installed to your HDD it will default anyway.
