So at about 1730 yesterday, my wife was sleeping upstairs and i was downstairs. I was cleaning the bathroom. I heard what i knew instantly was a gunshot outside and then a speeding vehicle. I keep about 4 firearms around the house, i grabbed my Glock and shut the lights off in my house and looked out the window and saw nothing. A all black vehicle then came back down the road and stopped in front of my house and i was about to engage with the vehicle. The car then drove off and i called it in. My SGT came out and forensics came out found a 9mm casing outside. I had no idea who or what they were shooting at until i went inside and turned off my tv and noticed a hole next to the mantle. The hole went right through and into our bedroom. I called back my SGT and then sent someone out again and took more pictures and were able to recover the slug from the second wall.

It's safe to say that my job may have caused this and unfortunately we are staying with a co worker of mine a few miles away until we figure out who did it.

I unfortunately could not return fire unless i actually saw the suspect shooting from that vehicle.
