Calf is a pretty easy area, but this doesnt take into account your own pain threshold.

Its like a scratch feeling more than anything.
Some people like it some dont.

Don't let anyone know you have it for a bit because people will try to hit it and I guess it hurts like hell. Never had the feeling myself, but I used to be that dickhead who would punch you right where you got the tattoo and ask how it's doing lol.

Its just a nasty stinging sensation more than anything (for me anyways)

Yeeeeeeeeeeaa thats a pretty dick move considering you can damage the healing skin leaving a permeant scar depending on how hard you hit it.

You can tell people you have one and if they try to touch it or HIT it yeah just remove them from your life because thats a pretty big dick move and I wouldnt want to be friends with someone like that. Where you are getting it is a easy spot, just breathe like you normally would and you will be fine.

Good luck and side note im getting a Solaire tat soon also!

T.E Lawrence - in response to being asked how he could extinguish the flame at the end of a match by pinching it with his fingers - said, "the trick is not minding that it hurts."
This realisation helped me with my tattoo. Just think, "Yes, it hurts... and? I'm not dying and it will be over soon."

As for the pain killers, don't take them. They thin your blood and will make you bleed a lot more than you naturally would. This can make it more difficult for the tattooist to accurately trace the image.
I have heard you can get numbing gel but you probably won't need it.

There are gels but I mean wouldnt that kind of defeat the purpose of getting ink done? If you cant take the pain why get a tattoo in the first place?

If you are going to use gel you should also let your artist know. Ask your artist what kind of gun they use, cartirge guns in general hurt less and are almost silent so the low sound also kind of helps ease pain but if its a traditional needle gun then its just going to feel regular. I prefer traditional but I know some people that swear by cartridge.
