Okay so ever since i was 15 i have been working. I had a crappy first car and worked my way up. I now drive a 2015 Jeep Rubicon. I put money into customization etc. The county i work in is very wealthy and has a lot of trust fund babies who live there. So me and my fiance were on our way home from Dallas for the weekend of New Years. While on the highway we were cut off by a Porsche 911. Completely blew by us and merged almost clipping our vehicle. I wrote down the plate so i could run it later, anyway. I come up to our exit and the vehicle that cut us off was in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot right off the exit. I pulled into the parking lot and parked next to his car. He looked about 18ish maybe. I exited my vehicle and leaned against my hood and waited for him to come out. Once he comes out i nicely stated "You cut us off and almost made me lose control, my fiance is 7 months pregnant" He looked at me and rolled his eyes and laughed. Now at that point i was kind of annoyed. I went up to his driverside door (roof was down) and pulled out my badge and rested it against my hand as i leaned against his car and told him to expect a ticket sometime next week and just got in my car and continued home. I never confront people in situations like that cause it's just stupid and pointless but i had to this time

Rant starts here.

I understand if a family is very wealthy, it's okay to help your child buy his/her first car. If you buy your child 100,000 dollar car and the child has no job or responsibility, what does that teach them? As a parent you are supposed to teach your child how to live life not just give them a trust fund and say good luck. I wasn't wealthy growing up as a child and we did what we can to survive and these kids who have everything handed to them mock and look down to people that i was once was a part of. It truly pisses me off.

What i learned in life is you always respect people. It does not matter what you do for a living or where you live or what you drive. If you work hard to provide for your family and have respect for others i will always respect you, no matter what.

These kids deserve no respect at all..

Completely agree.. think it's sad that kids now a days have parents just to buy them brand new cars when I've worked my ass off since I was 17 years old and now 21 and just financed my first new car. Not a Porsche or anything near 100k but I take pride in it because it's mine and I pay the car note, insurance, etc.. I'm sorry to hear about that ***hole cutting you off with your pregnant girl in the car that is just insane i would have been tempted to kick his *** in that parking lot

Exactly, you work hard for your first car or even the car after that and so own. It doesn't have to be the best or most expensive car, it's the fact that you worked for it and it's yours.

I couldn't do anything nor would i, not worth ruining my career or life over some punk..

They don't need to get a job and work because their parents by them everything! They loan off their parents and show off their fancy new car and their parents house acting like they bought it.

They're spoiled brats that will never know what hardwork is

Completely agree. You see so many new, young arrogant drivers on the road. A lot of them with nice cars.

It is frustrating, as some people are born into money, and they don't know any different. When I grew up, I worked hard. Yes my parents at the time helped out with my car, but I still had to contribute and do things for myself.

Not a fan of the arrogance for him to laugh and roll his eyes at you, but even more so after he found out your fianc was pregnant.

I don't have an issue with kids being born into rich families, or have anything against buying them nice/expensive things, I just have an issue with the arrogance displayed with it...Such as your incident.

Kieran,

Not in this lifetime, i do not have one bit of jealousy at all.

What would i be jealous about? Having a nice car or being an asshole because my car is nice and i don;t want to be an asshole..

You're completely right! Let's add a car fund tax to all the 1%ers. Let the wealthy pay for our lazy bumss!!!
