I thin there is a little too much going on in the design to be an effective logo.
Looking at a glance you're not sure what you're looking at.
A good logo is very direct and is supposed to be easily read and easily recognizable.
Just some words of advise from someone who does this daily.

In which one?
The second one is a lot more simplified but im keeping the same idea as their current logo so i cant change much. Was really just trying to modernize it a bit more.

It's too much information going on here, the style of the fonts is too much. I do prefer the v2 update than the v1 update. As blends has stated just to point out - Not sure what's going on here looks bit odd to be honest.

Apprecoate you taking the time to comment but i have no idea what youre talking about.
The font is extremely basic. Its really just a standard, plain font. And theres a tattoo gun behind the N. I couldnt make it anymore simple while maintaining their original idea. Its only a logo update.

All hail Zef the graphics king

In all seriousness I'm going to have to agree, there is a bit much going on.
That thing above the tattoo gun could be a logo within itself.
When making a logo, consider what it will look like at different resolutions and on different material.
Will it still convey the same message? or be legible?

This part really through me off, how they just join together.

And why put all that excess material around the N?
I'm sure theres a good reason behind these things I'm just not in your head to know.
