I work a night job 6-2 am, and a day job as a barista. Working in the cafe my coworkers are mainly girls, and they call out literally all the time. Today I wasn't scheduled, and the girl called out because of an "emergency" but has enough time to post all over social media. I just hate the excuses, I'd rather be told they just don't want to work. Not much of a rant but it's just something that happens so frequently, it can be annoying. At the end of the day my checks bigger, but I had to wake up at 7am on a day I'm not scheduled and that's what got me so annoyed. (I can say no, but then the other person scheduled gets screwed with orders) and that's why I come in. I guess I'm to nice.

I mean i never had to worry about this stuff cause the military is different but i worked as a waiter in high school and i can understand that a little bit.
I usually always tip the person who makes my coffee. It can get chaotic sometimes so i can understand

I'm a UPS worker at night, and deal with high schoolers at the cafe so it can be difficult.

ya people like that are annoying if you dont wanna work there isnt any point of you having a job just stay home.. that happened to me when i was working at my seasonal job i went in at 1 and my boss talked me into staying till 2am in the morning just because someone called out that night(apparently he had a family emergency come up)

I hate it when im working and my co worker is just lazy last night we were stripping a office floor and waxing it. their were 3 of us one guy was helping i was helping and the other guy went into one of the rooms in the office and started sleeping for like 3 HOURS I tried to wake him up but he just started yelling at me and trying to justify himself so F it i wasn't going to bother with it. The night before he was lazy to he was sleeping on the floor while we worked i just don't understand how someone can be that lazy. And on top of all that when I ask him to do something simple for me he huffs and puffs and get an attitude with me.

Co-workers are the worst sometimes. At my work I can't depend on anyone el oh el.

I'd show your boss their sm's when they call in for a fake emergency and are posting all over snap and ig.
Get them fired, they obviously don't care enough to be there, they shouldn't care if they get fired either.

No point making enemies, you can only take so many emergency days off before they get fired. it will happen eventually, unless they personally know their boss outside of work, in which case telling on them isn't gonna do a whole lot.

Who cares? I'm not there to make friends I'm there for the money. Idgaf what others think about me, my life will be the same if I have never met them, they can classify me as "that guy".
I'm not gonna bust an extra day of work when I should of had the day off all because you wanted to go hang out / drink with your friends.
