Yin wrote Computer programs that have learning capabilities just screams "bad idea." We love putting smart tech and internet access into everything as well. I mean, a potential hive mind of AI bots/tech all over the globe is concerning. I also don't think people take it as seriously as they should. It's seemingly just another sci-fi joke to most people. This does need to be talked about more with countries. There needs to be laws and guidelines in place. Not sure if or when that will be the case though. If we go that far with it, we better hope we do have what it takes to shut it down. Learning and ever evolving AI though... Good luck with that. I mean, wouldn't the AI have just about all knowledge that we have right now? The information from the smartest of minds? What could go wrong?

This might not be too relevant, but goes back to the programs with learning capabilities. I don't know if anyone remembered Microsoft's Tay bot on Twitter? It was setup to learn freely from other users how to act; which on it's own, was a bad idea if anyone sat down and thought about what the internet would do. In less than 24 hours, it arguably turned into a Nazi, in the end, Microsoft had to shut the bot down, because it became a racist, genocidal propaganda machine. Went as far as to talk about gassing Jews (because they somehow did 9/11) and then genocide of Mexicans and African Americans, ect. I'm sure you can find screencaps of the tweets from the bot, but that's just the thing, a bot who's job was to learn from other users and make text posts, turned into that, imagine if that was a bot in the physical world with that type of learning capabilities.

As long as veteran call of duty bots aren't better than me I'm okay with it.

AI's right now arent even really AI's they just scan lots of information very fast they dont actually understand anything at all its all to make it appear as if it knows things when it really knows nothing. We dont even know if this is possible, there's lots of arguments about this out there we covered it in my CS program in college in computer ethics. Its interesting.
